1.Discover

On a few initial calls we outline the challenge, what has already been built and we set up the business goal and project parameters together. In this we cover your tech landscape, talent pool and strategy initiatives. You get a list of gaps and how to bridge them, and risks with mitigation strategies.

During scope, we align on our ONE team approach with the client and prepare all pre-requisites necessary to set up the engagement for success.

Depending on scope complexity, this stage can be shorter, or on better calibration needs on the scope this might take longer.

Further inputs needed for a customized commercial offer:

In-depth documentations

  • Discovery report: previously created is the backbone of the delivery approach, further docs identified and requested as part of the preparation
  • Design prototypes: existing or in-progress designs, concept art, prototypes shared

Scoping exercises

  • cut: narrow to core assumptions, remove all excess features and needs
  • shift: prioritize disproving core assumptions, redesign around those for an end-to-end working product

Client interviews

  • talent: selecting best fits for increased outcome as strategic initiative
  • stakeholders: expectation map and working relationship for timeline feedback during engagement

Letter of Proposal - delivery approach

  • product frame - business objective and core assumptions
  • delivery strategy - cadence, roadmap, components
  • our commitments - staffing plan
  • client commitments - staffing plan
  • tech fit - architecture first cut, impact short and long-term expected
  • commercial offer - cost structure, payment conditions

2.Scoping

Key step for any successful digital project is to descope anything irrelevant to the revenue goal. We do this together on workshops, interviews, shared documentations under NDA and you get a Letter of Proposal for joint delivery. In this phase, you get value by identifying what is just deadweight in the scope, greatly increasing project success chances.

Delivery engagement strict cadence with steering opportunities preset, final staffing on signed Statement of Work and kick-off invites sent.

Two weeks cadence repeating 6 times throughout the 3 months long engagements. Extension or shortening available in increments.

1

Sprint planning: bi-weekly short internal alignment for the team, they pick and commit to next two weeks of scope. The commitment is short, a second track of refinement and design loop ongoing prepares the content offline and focused.

2

Building slice: daily engineering focus work, team independently moves ahead, raises impediments to team leadership who then takes it on themselves to unblock. Continuous run while builders themselves pick the next scope content and refine it.

3

Release & testing: from weekly it becomes a daily exercise to push everything to higher environments until the decision to launch for users becomes a solely business one without technical blockers. (Feature flags ensure everything deployed and stable, but unreleased for real customers until Review and feedback enables.)

4

Review/demo for feedback: internal sprint reviews and stakeholder demos held bi-weekly ensures a quick feedback loop of build and learn, keeps the team aligned on business goal and gives a platform to safely pull in executives for steering.

3.Deliver

On signing the Statement of Work, our ONE team jointly delivers the agreed upon vertical scope in the delivery window, launched to real customers and starting to acquire revenue. We steer the project with you, on bi-weekly working demos, this ensures the project delivers real value as it progresses.

We stay in orbit for hyper-care after engagement finish so our teams can ensure seamless take-over and upward trends for revenue.

By this stage, client team is fully in the driving seat and running stand-alone, however with lower velocity due to less staffing, as expected.

4.Hypercare

On project end, our team gradually rotates off and your in-house talent takes over the driving seat. We can support you as long as needed for your team to be stand-alone. Naturally for one-off questions, all team members will be reachable for foreseeable future.

The full narration, as text

Everything said in the video, written out. Read it instead of watching if that is faster for you — it is the same argument and it is all here.

On cameraWho I am and where you are

Good morning, day, good afternoon, or evening! I am Sandor Nagy, founder of AerelonTech consulting and principal architect.

Now, you have your plans, your digital initiatives and budget ready to go, and only you need to execute on those promises and deliver the revenue numbers for the board.

So, how is your journey would look like if you work with us?

Slide 1 · SummaryEnd-to-end in a quarter

In a short discovery, a few calls, few days, we learn about your needs, identify the major risks and gaps and present you a mitigation list. Then we scope the project together to see when it makes sense to scale into a build, before we run our ONE team for the quarter, creating your next revenue machine. Right into production with real customers. As we slowly step back during hyper-care and your team takes over to run alone without any lock-in, your team is left with the capabilities to build upon your already working solution.

A high-effort and high-bandwidth quarter gets you a new revenue making product and your organization own every bit of it. Let's break it down.

Slide 2 · DiscoveryDiscovery — what to bring, and what you leave with

We can help you plan out from the idea phase how to bring your initiative, part of your digital transformation life. Just write with your challenge and happy to jump on discovery already.

Ideally, you already have some documentation ready for the backdrop of these discussions, like your Request for Proposal, or strategy deck and a list of initiatives on the table to kick-off. A summary of your tech landscape shapes our conversation, existing architecture optional.

Even if you decide not to continue, you get an actionable view of your situation on one slide with your top risks, gaps and how to tackle them.

Slide 3 · ScopingScoping — the phase that decides whether the rest works

If you decide to continue working with us, we enter I think the most important phase that sets us all up for success, the scoping excercise.

Depending on the complexity, this stage can take up weeks to months and a considerable bandwidth on both sides. Underinvesting into this part leaves the potential engagement in a vulnerable position to fail, however talented team we put together.

We need to detail your initiative's scope, the capabilities to build and select the most promising vertical that can be launched in less than 3 months to production, secure the dependencies and domain expertise needed for the team to move unblocked during this period.

At the end of scoping, you get our commercial offer along the preliminary team composition and delivery strategy outline as our Letter of Proposal and contract drafts.

Slide 4 · DeliveryDelivery — one team, stakeholder demos monthly and transparent steering together

When you have signed the Statement of Work with us, we finalize the staffing of the team and start at our agreed on timeline.

We believe in hybrid work, while most of our team fully comfortable with remote, the inital forming of our ONE team works best with face-to-face time. We set up the team's cadence, a not fewer than monthly stakeholder demo of working software, ideally in production, and steer the outcome together on frequent check-ins.

By end of month 3, you have seen the first user tests in production with real customers, usually in a form of Friends and Family testing, where scaling to users is now trivial.

Slide 5 · HypercareHypercare and wrap-up — your team in the driving seat

Of course we don't disappear as the clock hits the end, yet your team must be in the driving seat at the end of month 3 with our experts supporting where open threads remained to ensure there is no technical blockers from realizing revenue.

Our relationship with you extends beyond this engagement model, however for new challenges to tackle together, we reuse the same phases geared toward the new direction.

On cameraClosing

With my Central European talent network, looking forward to work with you on any digital product challenges you may face! Take care, and have a great day there!

Discovery is a few calls and a few days, and you leave with your top risks and gaps on one slide whether or not we go further.
